Springtime greetings from all of us at Greens by PB Farms! As the sun starts to shine a little brighter and the air carries the promise of warmer days, we’re excited to share some wonderful news with you.
Embracing the Spring Sunshine: With the arrival of spring in Stockholm, our farm is buzzing with anticipation. The weather is finally beginning to cooperate, and we’re eagerly awaiting the perfect conditions to transfer our seedlings from the shelter of our greenhouse to the open fields. It won’t be long now before our fields are teeming with life and bursting with the vibrant colors of nature’s bounty.
Expanding Our Greenhouse Family: We’re thrilled to announce a significant expansion here at Greens by PB Farms! Our commitment to providing you with the freshest, highest quality organic produce has led us to invest in a brand-new greenhouse. This addition grants us an additional 800 square meters of growing space, allowing us to cultivate an even greater variety of fruits, vegetables, and herbs for you to enjoy.
What’s Sprouting at Greens? While we eagerly await the moment to transplant our seedlings, our dedicated team is hard at work preparing the soil, nurturing our existing crops, and lovingly tending to our new arrivals in the greenhouse. From crisp cucumbers and a variety of gourds to fragrant herbs and vibrant peppers, each plant is carefully tended to ensure optimal growth and flavor.
Our Fenugreek has sprouted a couple of days back. Fenugreek, also known as Methi, is a versatile herb commonly used in culinary dishes and traditional medicine. When grown in optimal conditions, fenugreek typically reaches maturity and is ready to harvest in about three weeks after sowing the seeds. During this time, the fenugreek plants go through several stages of growth, including germination, seedling development, and establishment of mature foliage.
Around the three-week mark, fenugreek plants usually exhibit robust growth with well-developed leaves and stems. At this stage, the leaves are tender and flavorful, ideal for culinary use. Harvesting fenugreek at this point ensures the best balance of flavor and nutritional content. Additionally, harvesting fenugreek early encourages further growth and promotes continuous harvests throughout the growing season.
